BLIA’s Bakery Class
Buddhist Lights’ International Association New Zealand west chapter had organised a bakery class on 4th April 1pm. There were approximately 20 BLIA member and Fo Guang Shan South Island devotees came to join the class. West Chapter vice president Linda Lin demonstrates the way to bake tasty “Mochi” bread. Firstly, Linda introduced the ingredient to complete this recipe; secondly, she instructed proper way and teach the member to shape the bread. In baking period, all member questions about the technique of baking good bread. Linda have answered their question, member write down note to memorize the step for this recipe.
“Mochi” bread tasty smells have move members appetite, they invited Venerable Juexi to have freshly baked bread with them. Member also participates in some small contest to win a pack of tasty “Mochi” bread. Two contestant were performed some singing and win the bread as their trophy price. Venerable Juexi told everyone to come back to participate the Buddha’s Birthday on next weeks. The bakery class concluded at 3pm.
