BLIA Directors’ Meeting – Multi Cultural Inheritance

New Zealand Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) South Island conducted year 2010 first director meeting on 27th March. BLIA president Almeric chaired the meeting, they were more than 10 directors included Fo Guang Shan Venerable Abbess Manshin and south island temple supervisor Venerable Jue xi attended this meeting. In this meeting, several agenda were discussed included: 1. discussed the 2010 BLIA Annual General Meeting in Fo Guang Shan Headquarter, Taiwan; 2. Promote the 2010 Pacific BLIA Meeting that held in Australian Nan Tien Temple; 3. Prepared and confirm the date for Advance Chanting class; 4. Recruit young BLIA member to become future director to continue the mission of BLIA. Abbess encouraged BLIA director and staff try to attend the Pacific BLIA meeting and learn the pros from different chapter. She also state that temple and BLIA are both important, and both need to transform and fulfil the new age to propagate dharma and utilise the temple with various multi culture activities and achieve the localize Buddhism in New Zealand.
