Devotees Visit Temple to say Goodbye

01 / 04

On 16 April Karen Lee from Malaysia visited Fo Guang Shan (North Island) to bid goodbye and was hosted by Venerable Manwang. Karen has been helping with the VIP’s reception and planning for Buddha’s day since 2007, however, due to the expansion of her business she went back to live in Malaysia last year. She came back to New Zealand in early April to visit her sister and help with the Buddha’s Day Multicultural Festival.
Yi Lian, another volunteer, also came to the Temple on the same day. She has been helping in the Main Shrine for two years and prays sincerely to the Buddha every day. She is going back to Mainland China to visit her family and hopes to share what she has learnt in Fo Guang Shan (New Zealand). Venerable Manwang presented her with some books written by Venerable Master Hsing Yun.
