Local Artist Artworks Bright FGY Art Gallery

On 3rd March, Gail Batchelor had given tour guide to Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery south island staff and visitor. Art Gallery curator assistant See Shen, Lee and 3 other staff joined Gail’s personal tour guide explanation. In this guide, Gail explained the inspiration, idea, meaning, material and drawing process of her artworks. She also stated the lines and colour that she used in every artworks hidden with some meaning and will let viewer to judge her works with their own art sense.

When Gail start her oil painting in University, she always equestrian between eastern and western art style and to make the artwork creative and innovate. With skills in western artworks, she ingeniously inserts the abstract spirit in works and shows the vibrant colour of oil painting. The artworks she created normally represent with ‘wow’ effect that let the viewer felt the passion of her creation. With the guide tour given, art gallery staffs hope their understanding on her artworks might able to explain artist creative vision to those enjoy in her works.
