BLIA Monthly Meeting United Members
New Zealand Buddhist’s Light International Association (BLIA) organised the second monthly meeting for members on 27th February at 12.30pm. Nearly 40 members attended, Venerable Abbess Manshin as supervisor of this meeting. The west, north sub chapter and youth group leader have reported their job status and activities have been held within last few months and sneak preview on upcoming events. Several Agenda were discussed: 1) on mid-march, a 10 weeks movie class discussion will be held; 2) develop new idea to attract people who interest to join as BLIA members; 3) promote “Million Heart Sutra copy Cultivation” activities to encourage people to participate; 4) establish “2010 Buddha’s Birthday” community; 5) Recruit new members to associate with the temple and organisation work load.
Abbess have share some dharma advice stated that members should adjust and determine their mind set to suit the changing environment. Abbess encourage members should look up to Venerable Master Hsing Yun as role model. Learn his youth attitude and passion on propagate Buddhism; with passion and hard work attitude, BLIA members eventually will attract people to join in as a team.
