Elders of Christchurch Torata Club Touched by Building

A group of 13 elders from the Christchurch Torata Club came to visit FGS, most of them being over the age of 70. BLIA South Island Vice-president Jack Liu and YAD member Jay Fu guided a tour around the Temple. Mr. Liu explained that the building designs were inspired by the Chinese Longman grotto. They also visited the Buddha Hall and Time Corridor. They looked at the biography, Eighty Years by Venerable Master Hsing Yun. The group was interested in the architecture and discussed and asked about the Temple and Buddhism. They expressed that the Temple’s unique features made them feel calm and comfortable. The elders appreciated all the staff’s hospitality for the wonderful experience.
