BLIA Daffodil Get Together and Buddhism Exam Prize Giving

The “BLIA Daffodil Get Together and Buddhism Exam Prize Giving” was held on 23rd July. It was attended by 80 BLIA members.

First BLIA North Island President Stephen Yu exhibited photos and recounted how the Abbess instructed the youths to plant the daffodils, which was hard work indeed.

Then Prizes for 2017 Buddhism examination was awarded to participants for the English categories A, B, C and children. The Prize Certificates were handed by my Stephen and Head Advisor Dolly Tsai along with a book by Venerable Master Hsing Yun. Then Venerable Abbess Manshin awarded prizes to high achievers of Chinese category A, which included Stephen himself, Jojo, Jennifer, Fu Yunyang and Liu Yinping.

The Abbess expressed that flowers can bring some colour to winter and it also brings colour and hope to sufferers of cancer, such as BLIA Director Annie Ng. Days of hard work of planting daffodils was a mission for the youths, but the team spirit and determination will ensure nothing is impossible with BLIA members.
