New Zealand Elders visit the Temple in May

Around mid-May, a few different groups visited Fo Guang Shan North Island, including Howick Combined Probus Club, Remuera Village Ladies Probus, Blind Foundation and Vietnam Cambodia, Laos Chinese Association. All visitors were amazed by the magnificent buildings and the harmonious Zen garden.

Nick introduced the ideals of Humanistic Buddhism and it’s practical application to the local culture, education and art. He also talked about successful events and functions by the temple joined by different schools and police that clearly delivered the message of the multiculturalism and passion for localisation. All the visitors were pleased with these contributions from Humanistic Buddhism.

Pagoda is always one of the favourite attraction points, not just because the villa like architectural structure, but as well as the underlying philosophy, which also demonstrated respect to loved ancestors. The artistic and cultural have attracted more people to come to venerate the Buddha.

Fo Guang Shan North Island gave excellent opportunities for the public to recharge and explore their potentials.
