Right now is a gift - that is why it is called the present ~English Saturday Dharma Class

01 / 05

“When we are too familiar with the people, things and the environment around us, we tend to forget we are breathing too”, Venerable Miao Yu told the 7 participants during the English Saturday Dharma Class on 13 March. She continued: “When we first started to learn meditation, we are very mindful of our breathing and thoughts. However, after sometime, we may begin to find meditation tedious and lose concentration. Similarly, we may neglect and take for granted the people around. Buddhism teaches us that every thing is impermanent; therefore we should live in the present and treasure the people and things around us. Right now is a gift, that is why it is called the present”
