Wellington Taipei Economic and Cultural Office's Trip
New Zealand IBA Venerable Abbess Manshin, North Island IBA Venerable Manwan and South Island IBA Venerable Juexi and 2 other IBA staffs have paid a visit to Wellington Taipei Economic and Cultural (TECO) office on 22nd February. Representative of TECO Mr. Tsai, Head of Secretary Mr. Lin and Secretary Mr. Hsu had give a warm welcome to Abbess and other. Mr. Tsai had visit IBT Auckland on 14 February and prostrate to the Buddha. Abbess had welcome him at that period and promised that she will visit him when she travel to Wellington.
In this visit, Abbess had expressed her appreciation to Mr. Tsai for helping the community. They also make some in-depth review on some issues like students, visitor and migrant from Taiwan; culture exchange between New Zealand and Taiwan that enriched the local community. In return, Mr. Tsai also stated with the help from everyone including New Zealand IBA which provide full co-operation. They can serve the community with confident. Abbess praised Mr. Tsai has proved that his had served the community with dedication and courage. The TECO and Fo Guang Shan Organisation around the world have similar principles which serve the oversea Taiwan resident with care.
Before leaving, Abbess had bestowed Mr. Tsai a collection of Dharma literature by Venerable Master Hsin Yun. Mr. Tsai was delight to receive this collection and promised he will attend the Buddha’s Birthday ceremony which held in Christchurch.
