Attaining One’s Visions to Live Life to the Full
Fo Guang Shan Temple (North Island) devotees Patrick and Vigee used to pray to the Buddha for protection until they came to know Fo Guang Shan where they began to learn the essence of the Buddha’s teachings. They visited the temple on 12 March after Patrick had been back to China for one and a half months earlier this year. They were hosted by Venerable Abbess Manshin and Venerable Manwang.
Patrick spoke with fervor about his trip back to China where Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s books are one of the best sellers in the bookstores. His books are easily available in all places and can even be found in the China Wuxi, the famous Buddhist Pilgrimage Fan Gong. Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s writings are well-liked by the Chinese as his words of wisdom transcend all religions, are useful and practical, as well as touching the hearts of the people’.
‘Venerable Master Hsing Yun is a person who is full of enthusiasm and visions. He attained his visions and missions through hard work and contributions which made him what he is now”, said Venerable Abbess Manshin. She encouraged and inspired Patrick and Vigee to live to their fullest potential through contributions to the community.
