A Joyful IBA Chinese New Year Culture Festival
New Zealand IBA always prime on sharing dharma through culture. On 14th February, the Chinese New Year culture festival has drawn over 400 people to the temple. Visitors can understand how the Chinese and Buddhism celebrate New Year cultural through the displays and relics on booths.
On 1 pm, Calligraphy Master Tang has shown the visitors with “Lishu” methods and writes down a phrase and attracted lot of the crowd especially local kiwi, the reporter from the Messenger also came to interview Mr. Tang for his artwork.
On 1.30pm, the mighty lion dance that start in the temple garden have aroused tea house and culture festival guest to rush out and enjoyed on their performance. With the fast tempo rhythm of gong, drum and cymbal, the lion have performed a magnification joyful dance which amuse everyone and raised the climax of Chinese New Year celebration.
