Offering First Incense Ceremony Draws Crowd
On the 13th February 10:30 pm, IBA New Zealand held Chinese New Year eve’s Dharma function to celebrate the beginning the year of tiger. Venerable have lead the devotees to chanting on “Medicine Master Sprinkling Head Mantra” and Grand Master Hsin Yun “New Year Eve prayer”. Nearly 200 devotees, BLIA members and visitor from different country have come to join this activity. They were hoping to get the good luck charm on the New Year day.
After the dharma function, Venerable Jue Xi has explained the meaning of “Awe-inspiring virtue and oceans of prosperity”. Human being must learn a way to gain enlightenment; it is due to human have the will power to behave good or evil in a split second. The nature of our belief is to gain happiness, satisfaction, relax and secure and this belief always exist in our life. We must always treasure what we have at this moment, explore our full potential and follow Venerable Grand Master Hsin Yun foot paths and feel the rhythm of dharma. Venerable Jue Xi has given everyone a red packet and wishes everyone a wonderful year ahead.
When approached midnight, more devotees have enter the main shrine to offer their first incense and make a good wish that hope for prosperity in their life. The year of tiger had arrived peacefully and a series of Chinese New Year celebration activities will begin in IBA temple.
