Hong Kong Famous Celebrity Cheng Pei Pei Visits Fo Guang Shan (North Island)

Hong Kong Famous Celebrity Cheng Pei Pei visited Fo Guang Shan Temple (North Island) on 10 March while she was in New Zealand for her new local movie. She participated in the temple’s New Year Pilgrimage and the One Million Heart Sutra with over 400 devotees on 1 January this year. On this visit she brought along her co-actor, Hong Kong Veteran celebrity Kenneth Tsang Kong, and New Zealand actor Michael which was hosted by Abbess Venerable Manshin.
Venerable Manshin explained the development of Humanistic Buddhism in New Zealand and they visited the “Way of Life Photographic Exhibition” in the Art Gallery. Kenneth Tsang Kong explained that he is a graduate in Architecture and shared his views on the Temple’s design and construction with Venerable Manshin. He was very impressed by the multi-cultural designs of Fo Guang Shan temples all over the world, which he thinks represent the big heart of the founder, Venerable Master Hsing Yun.
