IBA English Dharma Class Continues
On the 7th February 6 pm, IBA continued with the Basic English dharma class, English social class lecture Shenghan Lim taught a class of 11 students. In this lesson, the class continues to discuss the meaning of the four Noble truths, the Noble eightfold path and the four applications of mindfulness. Four applications of mindfulness is an essential study for every Buddhist, its means to contemplate that the body is impure; to contemplate that feelings are the origin of suffering; to contemplate that thoughts are impermanent, always arising then extinguishing; and to contemplate that all phenomena have no substantial existence. As we continue with these four contemplations, we can discover our delusion and stubbornness, and transform it to make our mind more happy and cheerful. Through this class, students deepened their understanding of the four Noble truths and four applications of mindfulness, venerable encouraged everyone to apply these methods in life and always practice it, and someday it will help us to achieve the enlightenment.
