Delight Closing Ceremony for Korean Egg’s Art

South Korea's famous egg carving artist, Ms Helena Kim and her beloved art work have exhibited in Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery 2 for 5 months and had received wide acclaim from the community of Christchurch. In 31st January, Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery had arranged special tea party seminar on this closing ceremony, 80 of the friends of Art Gallery have came to attend this first ever art seminar in this art gallery to celebrate the conclude of this exhibition.

Curator Venerable Abbess Manshin had make a speech that mention she appreciates Helena’s wonderful art work, and Grand Master Hsin Yun have always mention through the art that can convey the dharma preaching. There were 19 branches of Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery worldwide. With the support from the Fo Guang Shan headquarters, provided high-quality art works for the public that we seen today; in further weeks Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery south Island will co-operate with local kiwi artists and bringing different art work to surprise the local community.

In this seminar, Helena has demonstrated the carving egg technique and attracted all the viewer of seminar. During the demonstration, some viewers have asked the question about egg’s art and gain an answer from Helena personally. During the tea party, Fo Guang Yuan art gallery have provided some delight refreshment for the attendee, everyone has enjoyed scenery and they stated that: it was a satisfaction to join this seminar and they have learnt a lot. The tea party ended at 4pm and once again Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery 2 had held a success art seminar for the community of Christchurch.
