Language is No Barrier with Sutra Transcribing

The third session of the sutra calligraphy was held on the evening of 15th January. 50 people participated in this session, and included people of European heritage; they were unhindered by the language barrier. With their patient parents’ guidance, even the young children were able to transcribe the sutra.

Venerable Juexi reminded everyone that during sutra transcribing, one must settle their minds, relax their body and write with peace. She also told a story and drew out the moral, which was to understand the meaning and purpose of life. One must challenge themselves with the right kind of training, follow through difficult experiences to improve and build their character.

It is important to take the opportunity to walk the practitioner’s path while we are young, so that we will have the energy to transform the challenges and difficulties of life into nutrients for growth.
