Fresh Start to Life in New Home

On 9th January, under the guidance of Venerable Abbess Manshin and Venerable Juexi, the BLIA group of 30 people made their way to the new home of the son and daughter-in-law of BLIA South IsIand Director Meihua Chen and husband Happy Hugao for a new home cleansing ceremony, which was followed by a visit to the home of the parents.

The cleansing ceremony begun with chanting the Holy Water Anthem, followed by the Universal Gateway of Avalokitesvara Chapter of the Lotus Sutra and the sprinkling of holy water and concluded with the reading the ‘Prayer for New Home Cleansing’.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the gathering was shifted to the home of Mr. Hugao and Mrs. Chen. There, everyone shared their experiences of the sutra calligraphy cultivation program that is currently being conducted. Venerable Abbess Manshin encouraged everybody to participate in the “One Million Heart Sutras in the Buddha” fundraising program, and reminded all that it is an extraordinary once-a-millennium opportunity to do a good deed.
