Temple Feels Like Home...A Gesture of Kinship Via Cake

01 / 02

The various joyful and touching exhibitions that have been displayed at Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery South Island during 2009 have led to the formation of many new friendships between the Art Gallery and art enthusiasts.

On the afternoon of 5th January, Mr. and Mrs. Ed and Bella Rosie, who have visited Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery before, specially brought homemade pomegranate cake to the Temple for the volunteers to enjoy. The couple tied the knot only a few days prior to their visit and the cake was made in celebration of their marriage.

In order to share their happiness with everyone, Bella made an extra cake and personally delivered it to the Gallery. They were warmly received by Temple Supervisor Venerable Juexi and Art Gallery Volunteers Guo and Ms. Wu. In their appreciation letter, they wrote that Fo Guang Shan South Island provided them with a feeling of home and the Art Gallery has provided them with works that motivated them from the bottom of their hearts.

Furthermore, the couple had expressed that the delicious vegetarian cuisine provided by Water Drop Café is something that they will always remember. They thanked the Venerables of Fo Guang Shan and all the Fo Guang People for their hospitality, and for giving them a feeling of home every time they visit.
