Saturday English Service ~ The Five Dust

The regular service on Saturday for English speaking members was held on the 9th of January 2010. They practised Tai Chi at the start of the session followed by motive and slow walking meditation across the ‘field of merit’ at the front of the Fo Guang Shan’s Main Shrine.
The morning concluded with a group discussion in the Meditation Hall. Venerable Miao yu hopes that everyone will gain a better understanding of themselves and in order to do so, one will have to understand the natural root of the living beings. Venerable Miao Yu shared “the five dust”, the first dust is“wealth”.
She hopes that everyone observes how much greed and desires each person possesses and through daily reflection will be able to understand themselves better.
