Fo Guang Shan (North Island) First Family Visit in 2010

Fo Guang Shan (North Island) had the first family visit on the 1st of January 2010 . 15 people were invited to Sister Peggy Tsan’s (Central Sub division) including Abbess Venerable Manshin, Venerable Manwang, Venerable Miao Yu, BLIA President Dolly Tsai, Vice President Peter Chen & his wife.
In the morning of the same day, everybody happily participated in the sutra copying event. All were very touched by the solemn ambient during the event and praised the summer camp youth and non-Chinese members who participated demonstrating their patience and sincerity. Everyone was very thankful to be able to contribute to the building of the Buddha Memorial Centre through this event and felt blessed to be showered in the teachings of the Buddha.
At the end of the event, Abbess Venerable Manshin encouraged everyone to interact with each other. She presented Peggy and husband a series of “ Between Enlightenment and Ignorance” books written by Venerable Master Hsing Yun.
