Mountain View at the Door – What a Pleasant Sight!

01 / 08

On 15th December, residents of the Cashmere View rest home paid a visit to Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery Christchurch. The group of 26 seniors was greeted by Venerable Juexi, FGY Art Gallery Public Relations Officer Seeshen Lee, Social Education’s Sheng-Han Lim and Reception staff members.

The visitors arrived by bus to see the Helena Egg Art Exhibition and the Shan Shan Shiao Pressed Flower Art Exhibition. Among the visitors, several happened to be regular visitors of the Art Gallery and have also witnessed the phenomenal Embroidery Exhibition many months ago.

The seniors had high regards for the artworks displayed by the Art Gallery. Their tour of the Temple building included stopping at the Buddha Hall; where they expressed their joy when they looked through the centre window and saw Cashmere Hills staring back at them-it was their area of residence!

Concluding with a group photo with the Temple staff, the visitors thanked the Temple for its hospitality and expressed that they will return with more friends and family members in future.
