“Who is Coming Tonight” – Professor Lee Li An Thinks that Everyone Should have a Religious Faith

When asked about religious faith, Professor Lee expressed that for the sake of long term continuation of mankind, there should be religious faith. Humans are a combination of different aspects of human nature; these aspects can be observed during life. The biological aspect of human nature is expressed by our need for clothing, shelter and food. The social aspect of human nature is expressed through our need for different social roles, levels of respectability and values in society. The mental aspect of human nature is our need for mental improvement, mental purification and having a sense of peace etc. This aspect of human nature differs to the previous two aspects in that mental needs can only be satiated by our levels of cultural cultivation. Furthermore we also have the nature for the need of the spirit, and from current observations, these spiritual needs can only be satisfied by religious faith.
