Police Officers Visit Pressed Flower Exhibition

Local Christchurch Police Constable Liyin Cai has participated in many of Fo Guang Shan Temple’s activities in the past and has frequently brought friends from work to tour the Temple.

On 2nd December Constable Cai brought along colleagues Christchurch Central District Commander Mr. Dave Cliff and Australian District Commander Mr. Anthony Firoavanti to FGS South Island for a visit. FGS New Zealand’s Abbess Venerable Abbess Manshin, Venerable Juexi and Venerable Miaoyu, along with BLIA South Island President Almeric Cheng welcomed the guests.

The police officers took time to appreciate and admire the Pressed Flower Exhibition and Egg Art Exhibition, and also had the opportunity to have a conversation with the Egg artist herself, Ms. Helena Kim.

The guests expressed their pleasure in having the opportunity to visit such an atmospheric Christchurch building and also for being able to witness the incredible artworks, and commented that the locals of Christchurch are very fortunate to have such an asset in their city. Venerable Abbess Manshin later gave the guests the “Way of Life” 2010 calendar as souvenir gifts.
