Chch Hospital Patients Visit Heart Cleansing Buddha Hall
After learning about Fo Guang Shan South Island Temple through “The Breeze” radio station’s presenter Sue White’s commendation of it, Ms. Natalie Sutherland organised nine patients of the Princess Margaret Hospital Seager Clinic to visit the Temple and to view the “Way of Life” photography exhibition along with the “Egg Art” exhibition.
Ms. Sutherland and the residents of Seager Clinic visited the Temple on 6th November, and after being introduced to the fascinating photo exhibition, the visitors arrived in the Buddha Hall to the sight of the Medicine Buddha Dharma Function set up with colourful lamps that brought them peace and happiness.
The visitors were then taken around the delicate egg artworks where they learnt the many stories about the artist. Ms. Sutherland later expressed that the environment created by the Temple really brings people a sense of calmness and that the exhibitions have shown her new dimensions of the art world.
