Fendalton Councillor Revisits FGS South Island
The councillor for Fendalton Waimari Ward, Ms. Sally Buck visited Fo Guang Shan South Island during the Temple’s opening ceremony. On 21st October, she returned once again in order to view the exhibition of egg artworks by Ms. Helena Kim, who personally took the guest, along with the assistant curator of Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery South Island, for a tour. Not only is Ms. Buck a politician, she is also an artist herself, who specialises in glass decoration.
Ms. Buck later expressed that Helena’s art work has achieved the realm of infinite variation, with over 300 individual pieces; each consisting of hours of patience and painstaking effort. The Councillor highly values Helena’s artworks and recommended that visitors should pay multiple visits to FGY Art Gallery, which in her eyes, has achieved a very high standard.
