Fo Guang Shan North Island Representative Invited to Manukau Police “District Awards Ceremony”

The “2016 Manukau Police District Awards Ceremony” was held on 22nd July at MIT. Abbess Manshin was invited to the ceremony in representative of Fo Guang Shan New Zealand.

This annual award includes life time service award, diligent promotion award and constructive action award. This’s life time service award included more than ten officers including service record between 14, 21, 35 years and above.

During the ceremony Superintendent John Tims thanked everyone for their participation, congratulated all the awarded officers and awarded citizens for acts of courage, and thanked the temple for their ongoing support of the police force, relieving the officer’s stress through Buddhism’s wisdom.
