National MPs Admire Egg Art at FGY Art Gallery
One of the recent visitors to the Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery Egg Art Exhibition came as a breath of fresh air and a major surprise for the members of BLIA. On the noon of 10th October, New Zealand National Party MPs Ms. Melissa Lee and Ms. Nicky Wagner came to witness the extraordinary Egg Art and the Way of Life Photography on exhibition under the invitation of the egg artist Ms. Helena Kim herself.
Venerable Juexi, BLIA South Island Director Louisa Guo and FGY Art Gallery Assistant Curator See Shen Lee introduced the architecture of the building to visitors, and at the same time, Ms. Lee received answers to her questions on Buddhism. While they appreciated the delicacy of the Egg Artworks, Ms. Lee expressed her particular interest in the Taj Mahal series and her admiration for the subtle work produced by the artist.
Following the tour, Ms. Kim led the MPs downstairs to the Tea House for an afternoon of exquisite food and beverage. Ms. Lee and Ms. Wagner both expressed their appreciation to the Venerables, BLIA members, volunteers and the artist for their warm hospitality; giving them a memorable afternoon.
