Police Maori Media Unit’s Mr. Paul Eagle Visits Temple
On 3rd October, New Zealand Police Strategic Advisor Ke-Feng Chu and Constable Cai Li-Ying accompanied National Police Administration Maori media unit’s Mr. Paul Eagle to FGS South Island for a visit.
The police officials from Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand have come to attend a meeting at Christchurch Central police station. The first thought that arose for them at the conclusion of the meeting was to find the ideal place to have delicious vegetarian cuisine, and unsurprisingly, FGS’s Tea House turned out to be their pick.
After lunch, Venerable Miaoyu showed the visitors around Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery South Island’s current “Way of Life Photography Exhibition” and “Helena Egg Art Exhibition”. The visitors were not only moved at the sight of the meticulous egg carvings of artist Ms. Helena Kim, but were captivated by the determination and focus of the artist.
When the guests visited the Buddha Hall, Strategic Advisor Mr. Chu introduced to Mr. Eagle the Greenstone that was bestowed to the Temple by the Maori Chief; and with that left Mr. Eagle a sense of homely warmth. Venerable Juexi presented the visitors with a copy of “BLIA North Island Report”, “YAD South Island Special Issue” and the 2010 calendar.
