Tai Chi & Meditation Saturday Service
10 October 2009
This week the Saturday was attended by nine regular members. The service began with Tai Chi followed by walking motive and sitting meditation. The focus of motive meditation was on the exhibits of the Pressed Flower Art Exhibition in Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery when members reflected on the skill and talent of the artist Shanshan Shiao; appreciating the form and texture of the pictures that combine art and religion through her devotion to her artistic creation which is simultaneously a form of her personal religious cultivation.
During the discussion members talked about Exhortation to make the vow to develop Bodhi mind by Venerable Shi-Xian of Fan-Tian Temple, Hang-Zhou Province. Members who had attended the Dharma class shared their thoughts and reflections as to how these vows might be fulfilled to cultivate their practice of Humanistic Buddhism.
