Fine-tuning Worthwhile Event- Preparatory Meeting

A second preparatory meeting for Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery South Island’s first ever Charity Auction and Dinner was held on 3rd September. The fine-tuning meeting was held to ensure the smooth functioning of the event as well as maintaining the Art gallery’s track record of high-quality events.

The preparatory meeting drew an attendance of 20 people; including BLIA South Island President Almeric Cheng, Vice-president Mei-Hua Chen, committee members, YAD 1 President Jason Liu, YAD 2 President Danny Chen and other Temple staff and volunteers. Venerable Juexi chaired the meeting, and Venerable Miaoyu was also present.

During the meeting, each team leader reported their group’s work progress and discussed various issues with each other. Some of the committee members also shared with everyone their ideas and opinions in how to attract more guests to participate in this special function.

Venerable Juexi said that the image and popularity of Fo Guang Shan is on the incline, and that it is the result of everyone’s hard work. Venerable Juexi also encouraged everyone to continue taking up new challenges and set new goals to develop ones potential. The third preparatory meeting is scheduled for the coming Friday.
