The Yao Hong Ying Embroidery Exhibition has earned Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery South Island a solid reputation in Christchurch. Following the momentous Exhibition, the Art Gallery has continued to deliver by launching the “Way of Life Photography Exhibition” and “Helena Egg Art Exhibition”.
In order to allow visitors to gain a better understanding of the undertakings of FGY Art Gallery and be well-informed of its exhibitions through increasing the effectiveness of frontline communications, a training session for the Temple’s volunteer receptionists was held on 1st September. The informative training session helped the volunteers develop their skills in helping at the frontline of the Art Gallery, and elicited their appreciation for the value of art.
During the session, everyone also discussed issues regarding the Charity Auction Dinner on19th September, such as the items for auction and the program schedule on the day. Venerable Juexi expressed her appreciation to the volunteers for attending the training session and encouraged everyone to follow Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s ideal of propagating Buddhism through art and culture in New Zealand.
