FGS South Island is Award Nominee Material!

BLIA North Island East 2 sub-chapter member Xiu-Ping Fu and her family arrived at FGS South Island on 12th July for a visit. Venerable Abbess Manshin, Venerable Juexi, Venerable Miaoyu and Louisa Guo warmly received them.

Ms. Fu’s husband, Mr. Chen is one of Auckland city’s architectural award judges. When he witnessed the inspiring Temple design himself, he praised the architectural elegance of the Temple building. Mr. Chen expressed to Venerable Abbess that FGS South Island fulfils the requirements for the awards and could be nominated. 6 environmental criterias to meet before a building can be nominated.

Mr. Chen commented that the Time Capsule, Tea House, carpark, through to the Buddha Hall, consisted of environmentally-friendly building materials; and that such a great building should be formally recognised. Mr. Chen promised to help apply FGS South lsland for the environmentally-friendly architectural award, so that more people will know about the Temple, and that future buildings will adopt the environmentally friendly architecture and materials utilised by the Temple building.
