Members of NZ Football Joins Tea Meditation at the Temple
On 27th January 10 dashing members of NZ Football came to the temple to hold their annual meeting.
After an introduction by the organiser Jamie Milne, the team was taken on a temple tour by Venerable Miaoyu and BLIA North Island Vice-President Sally Wang. They were taken through various Shrines and the “Zen Heart” Ink painting exhibition at the art gallery, whereby learning many functions and diverse qualities of Buddhism culture. These first time visitors praised the values of Humanistic Buddhism after personally experience it’s localisation effects.
A session of tea meditation was especially arranged for the visitors at the art gallery among paintings for the “Zen Heart” exhibition. The meditation session was conducted by Sub-chapter 1 Chairperson Shi Rongxin and youth Quo Wei. This truly brought ease and tranquillity to everyone’s busy mind.
The Abbess especially took time off her busy schedule to receive the visitors, where they expressed that the temple’s atmosphere allowed more focused and efficient discussion of all meeting agendas. They really hope for future opportunities to return to the temple to experience the joyfully tranquil environment once again.
The New Zealand football association was originally established in 1891, where they oversaw the operation of the National Foot Ball Club, 7 local clubs, various men’s, women’s and youth clubs as well as football matches. In May 2007 they officially changed their title to “New Zealand Football – NZF”
