“An Introduction to Buddhism”-The 12 links Unfolded

01 / 06

The cold weather did not hamper the spirit of the BLIA South Island members of strengthening their knowledge in Buddhism. On 19th June, BLIA South Island Vice-presidents Mr. Jack Liu and Mei-Hua Chen and other committee members, to a total of ten, braved the unforgiving weather and arrived at FGS South Island so that they can continue their study of Buddhism.

Venerable Juexi conducted the “An introduction to Buddhism” class, and introduced to the students the basic concepts of the 12 links in the chain of existence. Venerable Juexi elaborately explained the significance of the 12 links and encouraged everyone to foster the seeds of caring, and receiving, as well as practice the three good ways so that they can enjoy the fruits of their cultivation and ultimately liberate themselves from the six realms.

The Venerable also reminded the students to continue in their study of Buddhism and be diligent in practicing Buddhism and serving the community, as doing so will cultivate their field of merits. Venerable Juexi encouraged everyone to participate in the One-Day Retreat on 24th July, so that they have the opportunity to put what they have learnt into practice.
