Cold weather and Warm Heart

A team of 10 YAD members led by an English
sub-chapter member braved the cold wintry weather to remove the weeds and prune the plants around the Teahouse Garden with Venerable Ru Lian. Even though it was cold the sun was shining and the whole team worked very efficiently. Clearing the weeds from the garden is a form of motive meditation and can be related to clearing one's mind of negative thoughts - it takes courage, perseverence and mindfulness.
