Riccarton High School Students Experience Dharma Joy

Eight students of class 12WR of Riccarton High School visited FGS South Island on 28th of May, under their teacher’s direction. As Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery South Island Assistant curator See Shen Lee gave them a tour of the Embroidery Exhibition, the students gleamed with excitement and were well-entertained throughout the tour. In the short time while they were at the Temple, the students learnt to greet via the Buddhist way, that is, to join their palms together, and gave everyone a good impression during the photo session.

See Shen also invited the students to participate in “Heart of Child” in November, for which teacher and leader Kevin Walker granted them permission to attend. Prior to their departure, the Temple presented them with a self-chosen card with various images of Buddha.
