Embroidery Exhibition Mesmerizes Returning Visitors
On 6th May, a member of the Christchurch Probus visited Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery South Island’s Embroidery Exhibition for the second time, this time accompanied by her siblings and niece from the North Island. Assistant Curator See Shen Lee briefed the visitors with information on the Exhibition. During the tour, the visitors brought their own magnifying glass to view every single piece of Embroidery artwork in intricate detail; this shows their passion and enthusiasm for embroidery. They confided that having the opportunity to witness the skill of artist Mrs.Yao was very precious to them.
Later on during the day, President of Egg Art Society of Christchurch, Mr. Ron Wright and Korean Egg artist Mrs Helena Kim and her husband met at the Tea House for lunch. After lunch, they visited the Art Gallery to appreciate the Embroidery Exhibition; where they were welcomed by Venerable Juexi and Assistant Curator Ms. See Shen. Helena said that since she only had a short while to appreciate the artworks during the Exhibition’s opening ceremony, she returned to the Temple to appreciate all the artworks at her own pace.
