Auckland YAd - 3rd Day,17 April 2009

On the 17th of April, not long after breakfast, Abbess took the YAD members to Hagley Park for morning exercise. Abbess also made sure we had a full breakfast as we were going for a walk at Hagley Park. When we reached there, we went for a short run and took tons of pictures.
While exploring the beautiful sight we came across a monkey bar. Everyone rushed to it like a bunch of wild and crazy monkeys. We climbed, hung and did everything we can do on a monkey bar while Abbess took pictures of us. After that we set out to walk back to the temple but came across this restaurant called Mona Vale. We all suddenly felt hungry, so the abbess decided to treat us to eat tea there. It was very delicious and we are very grateful of the Abbess’s generosity.
When we have finished our delicious morning tea and went back to the temple, we started helping out. The girls washed the dishes while the boys did the heavy labor, and we worked hard until 2.30. After that, we quickly climbed back to our dorms, to rest for the task for the night: transporting the equipments to the Cathedral Square.
At 4.30pm, our bodies were flowing with energy, and we dashed down to the kitchen to help serve dinner. When all the dishes were cleaned, we headed out toward the Cathedral Square, in our cars packed to the roof with tents, tables and gas stoves.
We returned to the temple late at night with worn out muscles, and hastily went up the stairs to catch the few hours of sleep we have left.
