Auckland YADs staying in Christchurch, 16 April 2009

On the 16th of April, the Auckland YADs in Christchurch woke up early in the morning to do morning chanting. After we had cleaned up our dishes, Abbess took us on a tour along the Avon River. The willow trees scattered around the river were breath taking along with a kaleidoscope of fallen leaves on the grass.
After enough outdoor scenery photos was taken, the youths headed toward the Cathedral Square then went for a walk around the beautiful Hagley Park before returning to the temple.
When more members of Auckland YAD arrived (James, Adrian, Anthony) began practicing their hand gestures until dinner.
Buddha’s Birthday meeting started at 7pm and dragged till around 9pm. Although it was long and tiring, it provided vital information about everything everyone needed to know about the day and also important knowledge’s on organizing an event. When the meeting was finally over, the YADs gladly went upstairs to the dorm to prepare themselves for another day of hard work.
