Cantonese Class Takes Students for a Joyful Ride

01 / 06

The second Cantonese conversation class was held on the night of 11th April, and over 10 students, including the members of YAD and BLIA South Island attended the class.

Teacher Benny Wong took the students through the activities set out for the class, which was themed around greetings with someone. Everyone had the chance to ask questions and share their opinions, as well as practice the dialogue with Benny.

Since the students were doing so well during class, Benny added extra activities into the course of the class, namely forming a conversation in the context of ordering at a restaurant. Students were asked to take turns in playing the characters of a customer and waitress, whereby the waitress is taking the order of the customer. Everyone displayed excitement as they were taken for a ride into the spoken language of Cantonese, and discovered that language learning may not be as hard as they previously thought.
