1st Lesson- BLIA and YAD Learn Catchy Cantonese

On 28th of March, the first lesson for FGS South Island’s first ever Cantonese class was held. Teacher Mr. Benny Wong divided his classes into a youths’ class and an adults’ class.

Mr. Wong tailored the youths’ class to meet the learning styles of young people, that is, he added some games into the learning process. As a result, everyone was able to effectively and efficiently acquire basic concepts of the language.

As both members of the BLIA and its Young Adults Division are learning Cantonese concurrently, good interaction and common interest between both parties will inevitably develop. The introduction of the classes has also added to the lively and joyful atmosphere of the Temple.

Currently, they are over 10 students in each class, and it is anticipated that there will be more students joining the classes in the near future.
