Venerable Hsinting Explains Dependant Origination

On 27th March, another session of FGS South Island’s weekly Friday night movie study group was held at FGS South Island. Venerable Juexi led the study group, and during the session, the 20 participants watched the DVD “What is the truth of Buddhism – Karma”, by Most Venerable Hsinting.

Through his interesting teaching method, Most Venerable Hsinting clearly explained the relationship between karma and the three realms from the Buddhist perspective. After watching the DVD, Venerable Juexi designed a set of questions for each group to answer through brainstorming with each other.

At the end of the discussion, the effectiveness of learning process was highlighted by the accurate answers each group presented. New students of the Dharma also took a big leap in their understanding of karma through asking questions. The interesting approach to learning the movie study group takes has improved the participants’ interest in Buddhism, and more importantly, is progressively leading them to the truth of Buddhism.
