A Visit to the Temple Brings Joy to Colleagues

01 / 06

On 27th of March, Jane Condell from NZ Blood Service of Christchurch brought 11 of her colleagues to FGS South Island for a visit. The visit came about after Ms. Condell’s visit to the Temple a fortnight ago left her with a deep impression. She decided to share the serenity she enjoyed at the Temple with her colleagues.

BLIA South Island President Mr. Almeric Cheng led the group for a guided tour of the Temple. He gave the visitors an introduction to the “Yao Hong Ying Embroidery Art Exhibition”, and briefed them on the concepts behind the Temple’s building, Fo Guang Shan as well as the activities run by BLIA. Mr. Cheng also guided the visitors with a session of basic meditation.

After the tour, the group enjoyed afternoon at the Teahouse. As though a quick glance at the Exhibition during the tour was not enough, the visitors continued to enjoy the Embroidery art work at Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery South Island.

Everyone commented that they were satisfied with the tour, and expressed their eagerness to bring more friends for a visit. Before they left, the Temple presented each of them with Dharma Word bookmarks.
