Little Ones From Cotswold Visit Temple
On 19th March, Ms. Liu Dan from Cotswold Preschool brought ten children of ages 4-5 years to Fo Guang Shan South Island for a visit. The preschoolers were accompanied by two teachers and three parents. Assistant Curator of Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery South Island See Shen Lee led them to visit the Embroidery Exhibition of Yao Hong Ying.
Their next stop was the Buddha Hall, where Venerable Juexi taught the children how to do the half bow and three prostrations in front of the Buddha. They also took turns making wishes in front of the wishing bell.
After the tour, the group had afternoon tea in the courtyard. They also took the opportunity to take photos with the stone novice monks.
Prior their departure, the teachers and parents expressed their satisfaction with the tour as they left their signatures and notes of appreciations in the guest book. The little ones also expressed themselves by capturing unforgettable memories in their cute drawings and writings they scribbled onto the guest book.
