“Karma” the focus of This Week’s Movie Study Group

On the evening of 14th March, BLIA South Island held another session of their weekly movie study group. During the session, participants watched the “Buddhism’s hundred questions” VCD, which presented Venerable Huikuan’s talk on the topic of "Karma". Over ten members attended the movie study group, which was led by BLIA member Mr. You.

Through Venerable Huikuan’s explanation, everyone gained a better understanding of "Karma", and at the same time reminded them that all actions or behaviors produce karma, as well as karmic seeds. From this, they learnt that they need to accept and bear the consequences of the karma they previously have created. Consequently, they discussed in depth ways to reduce bad karma by doing good deeds. The entertaining and vivacious discussion ended at 9pm.
