Preparing for Kuan Yin Blessing Dharma Function

To celebrate the birthday of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, Fo Guang Shan South Island will be conducting the “Kuan Yin Bodhisattva Blessing Dharma Function” on 14th March. A day prior to the Dharma function, the leader of the Shrine Attendant group, Louisa Kuo, together with her group members prepared and decorated the Buddha Hall for the coming day.

Devotees who came to the Temple to pay homage to the Buddha during the week witnessed the majestic set-up of the Buddha Hall, and out of curiosity, many of them enquired about the Dharma Function.

To enable the ceremony to run smoothly, Venerable Juexi gave the Shrine Attendants some valuable advice and ran through the entire procedure with them. In addition, another class was held for the Dharma Instrument players. During the class, they practised chanting and refined their playing of the Dharma Instruments. Everyone gave all their energy and heart in preparing for the Dharma Function, and their seriousness in working on the task on hand touched many people’s hearts.
