Embroidery Exhibition Attracts Visitors from Afar

On 6th March, Mrs. Patti Offord of Christchurch and her sister Marian Harris from England visited Fo Guang Shan South Island, under the invitation of their neighbours Mr. and Mrs. Gan, who are devotees of the Temple.

While at the Temple, they visited the “Wonders of Embroidery–Yao Hong Ying Embroidery Art Exhibition”. Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery South Island Assistant Curator Ms. Lee welcomed the visitors and showed them around the Exhibition.

Mrs. Patti, who has been a professional photographer for years, was amazed by the skill and ability of Ms. Yao in embroidery and highly rated her works.
The sisters expressed that Christchurch locals are blessed to be able to witness such amazing art works in the magnificent FGY Art Gallery. They also promised that they will spread the word about the Embroidery exhibition to their friends and family.
