Exhibition’s Opening Calls for Preparatory Meeting
Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery South Island’s exhibition “The More Good The Better”, which has been on since 6th of January, has come to the end. For the past two months, many visitors have experienced the wonderful drawings by children artists.
On 25th of February, under the guidance of Exhibition public relations and planning officer See Shen Lee, BLIA Young Adults Division members helped with the transition of art pieces to prepare for the next exhibition “Wonders of Embroidery – Yao Hong Ying Embroidery Art Exhibition”.
The Embroidery exhibition is currently on a world tour and will be here in FGY Art Gallery South Island from 28th of February until the end of July.
On 28th February, there will be an opening ceremony for the incoming Exhibition. Those invited to attend the opening include Hon. Lianne Dalziel, Hon Chris Carter and representative for National Party, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Pansy Wong, who will be represented by MP Nicky Wagner.
On 26th of February, under the guidance of Venerable Juexi, the staffs of FGY Art Gallery South Island together with BLIA South Island committee members and BLIA South Island Young Adults Division members had a meeting regarding the preparation for the opening ceremony.
Topics discussed during the meeting include the procedure for the opening ceremony, afternoon tea for the guests, transportation, reception staff and tour guiding. The meeting was held to ensure that all the staffs for the opening ceremony have a clear understanding what needs to be done. Everyone gave valuable input during the meeting, and they were positive that the opening ceremony will go smoothly.
