Offering to Universal Buddhas and Celestial Beings

On the night of 31st January, the Offering to Buddhas and Celestial Beings Dharma Function was held at Fo Guang Shan North Island. With Venerable Abbess Manshin presiding over the Dharma Function, over 200 devotees chanted wholeheartedly in unison and the atmosphere within Buddha Hall was grand and touching.

Over 20 Buddha’s Light International Association members and Young Adults Division members from Fo Guang Shan South Island, including BLIA South Island Advisor Liao, Director Chen, Director Kuo and many others travelled up north to attend the Dharma Function.

This year is a record year for FGS South Island, as it is the year that they have had the largest group of people attending the Dharma Function up in North Island. Although many devotees have attended the function in previous years, after participating, they felt that they had gained greater appreciation for the Dharma and felt that their minds were cleansed.

During the Dharma Function, not only did Young Adults Division members from FGS South Island participate in the Dharma Function, they also helped out by serving as offering attendants and cleaning up at the conclusion of the Dharma Function.

Through their experiences up north, the team from FGS South Island realised that a large Temple such as FGS North Island requires team work and cooperation to run smoothly and produce quality results.

At the same time, they were very honoured to have been able to witness and participate in such a great and inspiring Dharma Function and will it be one that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
